Welcome to My Room

A peek into my diary.

August 2025

Sorry for being MIA. (つд⊂) It's wild to see that I've made a 2025 diary page and never updated until now. I've been pretty busy between personal life, work, and navigating how I want lolita to fit into my life. I've kinda settled on keeping to a more casual style in daily life. I'll leave the full lolita cords for special events.

Recently, I had the chance for such an event in NYC. I bought tickets for the first Harajuku Market NYC. It was advertised as more of a general j-fashion event, but I really wanted to attend because I knew lolitas would be there. It was a pretty small space which made it a little hot/overcrowded easily. (Apologies to anyone that saw me - I was a little hot and frazzled from the event). I had a good time and I'm excited about what I was able to get.

I went straight to the event once I reached NYC. There were so many vendors, including someone selling handmade Lolita and a secondhand lolita shop near the entrance (Live Bait). Once you entered, they stamped you and gave you a mask if you didn't have your own. I think I spent an hour overall there. It was pretty small, but there was so much to look at and even a patio area in the back.

Above you can see my gets. I'm most excited about the Angel tote bag from Magical Girl Mortuary. Looking at all the snaps from old GLBs, everyone had a tote bag. I loved the illustration of the lolita on it along with the black x white lacy construction. It felt like a very lolita bag to me. I'm happy I bought it becuase I've been using it pretty often even out of lolita. The shopgirl (might be the owner) was also dressed in MmM as well. I also got a free fan, which I needed. It's an interesting illustration for sure, but I love the material it's made of and I use it more frequently than I thought. I also got these illustrations of Kiki and Lala from scorpibot. They're my favorite Sanrio characters and I thought these illustrations were cute. I'm saving them for when I'm able to decorate the walls of my apartment. The floral necklace is from Cute Tangerinie, and they had several colors. The other necklace, I'm still trying to hunt down. I could have sworn it was from ETC, but I can't find anything from lolibrary. The perfume does look familiar tho. I might ask around in discord servers to see what I can find.

Now for my coord! I wore my beloved Deborah Doll JSK in Brown. I've been reaching for this a lot and I'm still in the middle of selling off my wardrobe because I want to have a closet full of pieces I love to wear rather than it's nice to have because it goes with things. I highly recommend this TBR blouse if you get the chance. I thought it was perfect considering it's linen/cotton blend for a summer market. It did get hot because of the long sleeves (that's on me) and I'm praying that we'll get a short sleeve version one day. I had the VM RB tote bag and ETC shoes. Regarding the shoes, I think it's time for me to admit that I can't wear brand shoes. I had insoles in these and my heel/ankle started to hurt a lot. Tbf, I am flat footed so flat shoes like these are not comfortable to me. I'm so glad I bought sneakers to wear with them. They weren't loliable, but I wanted to be cute and comfortable.

To end this entry, I received my MM corsage when I got back home. It feels surreal because I thought that I would never be able to own anything MM much less order straight from the brand. They had actually put out more orders for their Petit Fours OP. I'm hoping they'll do another run of Deborah Doll. I think I'll stash some money just in case since I'm planning to get as much colorways as I can.

It's so precious :-:
